Data Center Operations

The Tier-One Data Center was designed with redundancy in mind. Managed Services Team’s data center space utilizes redundant internet connections, redundant power feeds, redundant generators, and multiple power circuits per rack. Managed Services Team uses name-brand equipment for both networking and servers, and maintains support contracts on all equipment. All servers operate with at least RAID 5 redundancy. Our systems are based on current VMWare releases, with VMotion and HA (high-availability) implemented in multiple server and SAN arrays. Backups are performed nightly, and all systems are monitored by state-of-the-art tools housed separately.

Website Hosting

Managed Services Team can host your online presence on shared or dedicated servers, with a variety of software and bandwidth needs.

We can manage and provide email hosting for your business of any size. Along with standard POP/SMTP based email, we provide dedicated Microsoft Exchange services, Office 365, and even provide Advanced SPAM filtering for email domains s both hosted by us or other providers.

Managed Rack Space

Managed Services Team will install, manage, and provide services to keep your server functioning through our managed hosting solution. With scheduled checks, advanced monitoring features, hardware maintenance and other managed services, your server and online needs can be met securely, efficiently, and reliably.

Unmanaged Rack Space

Managed Services Team can provide raw space, power, and bandwidth to suit your needs.

Online Backup Services

Managing the backup and archives of your data can become quite a task with tape systems that are starting to show their age. Through our online backup services, your data can be backed up securely, reliably, and on a regular basis right over the Internet, no tapes necessary!

Offsite Data Replication and Data Warehousing

Managed Services Team can provide space for you to replicate your Storage Area Network, Network Attached Storage, off site databases, and other critical data to. We can provide services to get your office network to our datacenter network at up to Gigabyte speeds, allowing you to backup servers and data as if it were in the same room as your data.

The Managed Services Team is proud to call the Frontier CyberCenter home to its broad range of hosted services. Managed Services Team’s Server Colocation and Managed Hosting Services add onto the state of the art facility and services listed below:

20,000 Sq ft. facility including server space, network operations, conference facility, and physical plant. Over 8,000 Sq ft. of server space housing cages, racks and custom applications.

Ramming ballads protect the building exterior from vehicles. Reinforced concrete walls and no outside windows protect the building interior. Enclosed cabling throughout the facility. Located on the first floor of a controlled access, multi-story building. NEBS compliant – stringent Network Equipment Building Standards set by the Telecom industry.

Survivability of Infrastructure

Six fully redundant Liebert HVAC units, the best in the industry. Two fully redundant 2000 kW/2500 kva rated Liebert Generators, the best in the industry. Five tanks with 25,000 gallons of diesel fuel and redundant fuel supply agreements. Redundant switched power feeds provide “Uninterruptible Power Supply,” transitioning from commercial to backup systems as needed. Infrastructure supports 2000 watts of power per square foot.

Internal Network Redundancy

Two Cisco 12000 Gigabit routers equipped with Hot Standby Router Protocol for full redundancy. Four fully redundant Cisco Catalyst switches provide survivability and traffic distribution throughout the CyberCenter network.

Fire Suppression

Laser sniffers identify environmental changes (heat, smoke, etc.) to prevent fires before they happen. FM 200 fire suppression suffocates flames, protecting employees and preventing equipment damage.

Ten surveillance cameras outside of the building. Key card entry to building. Photo ID required for access. Security guard behind bullet proof glass. Roving security guard. Sign in at security desk. Man Trap before entering facility. Key code entry to facility. Bio-metric hand scanner entry to server farm. Locked cages and racks with key code entry. 83 surveillance cameras inside the building with 30-day storage and retrieval. Camera monitoring on-site by security guards and remotely by the Network Operations Center.

Internet Backbone

A redundant IP backbone operating at speeds up to 10 Gbps. Self-Healing SONET network re-routes traffic in milliseconds to avoid bottlenecks and overloads. Over 200 public and private peering arrangements

Conducted 24/7/365 by technicians located at our Network Operations Center (NOC). Customer inbound and outbound traffic is measured every 5 minutes using SNMP. Network traffic and peering arrangements are monitored. Facility monitoring tracks changes in the environment.

Advanced spam filtering

Our affordable spam filtering solution combines a cluster of powerful gateway appliances with cloud services to provide all essential security functions surrounding email. The cloud security layer shields email servers from inbound malware and DoS attacks while filtering out normal spam before it ever touches our network’s perimeter. The gateway appliance provides added inbound protection and scans outbound emails to prevent loss of sensitive data. The gateway’s outbound scanning also protects email server reputations by blocking any spam from leaving an email server.

Only the Good Stuff.

The Managed Services Team Advanced Spam Filtering Service is an integrated hardware and software solution designed to protect our email servers from spam, virus, spoofing, phishing and spyware attacks. It leverages 12 comprehensive defensive layers to provide industry-leading defense capabilities.

For onsite Microsoft Exchange servers, we can route mail through the Managed Services Team datacenter and spam filtering service. This results in only clean, valid email reaching the email server, freeing up bandwidth and server resources. This service also allows for Managed Services Team to queue email in our Datacenter in the event of a bandwidth failure to an onsite Exchange Server.
